Vandals leave school locks glued shut
Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers is asking for the public’s help identifying a troupe of teens who caused more than $4,000 in damage during a pre-dawn vandalism at Estero High School.
Early this morning, eight individuals jumped the fence at Estero High and walked around the school campus. During that time, they used glue and toothpicks to jam the locks of approximately 30 classroom doors. Surveillance video indicates that the group was comprised of what appears to be seven students and one adult. Upon their identification and arrest, the suspects could face felony criminal charges.
Anyone with information on the identities of these early morning vandals is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS (8477). All callers will remain anonymous and will be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000. Tips may also be made online at www.southwestfloridacrimestoppers.com or by submitting a tip on the P3Tips mobile app.
Note: Two still photos of the suspects are attached to this release. If video becomes available, an update will be sent.
