Thieves caught on camera during Lehigh car burglary

Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers is asking for the public’s help identifying two men caught on camera breaking into a Lehigh Acres car last week.

In the early morning hours of Wednesday, May 10, two men could be seen walking up to an unlocked truck, parked at 1519 Sheldon Avenue.  Once inside, they found a Glock 9 mm gun, and could be seen on video removing it from the car.  Shortly after, another unlocked car, parked at 1520 Sheldon Avenue, was also burglarized, with fishing equipment stolen.  Deputies later found the items stolen from the second car along a nearby canal bank, however the gun is still listed as stolen.

Anyone with information on the suspects, and their current whereabouts, is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS (8477).  All callers will remain anonymous and will be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.  Tips may also be made online at www.southwestfloridacrimestoppers.com or by submitting a tip on the P3Tips mobile app.

Note:  A surveillance clip of the car break-in is attached to this release.
