Duo grabs cash during early morning convenience store heist

Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers is asking for the public’s help tracking down two men who robbed a south Fort Myers 7-Eleven convenience store early this morning.

Just after 4 a.m., two men entered the store, located at 11700 S. Cleveland Ave., Fort Myers.  One man immediately jumped over the counter and grabbed all the money from the register.  While this was occurring, a second suspect stood between the door and the counter, holding his hand under his shirt, pointing an unknown object towards the clerk.  Once the cash was in hand, both men fled on foot westbound along Palm Drive and into the Pine Manor neighborhood.

The first suspect is described as a white male with a pale complexion, in his early 20s, roughly 5’9”, with a thin build.  He was wearing a black and blue Orlando Magic Shaquille O’Neal #32 jersey, with black shorts, white shoes and white tube socks covering his hands and forearms.  The suspect also used a white t-shirt to cover his face and head, and had grey gym shorts across his chest with his arms in the leg holes.  The second suspect is believed to be a black male, in his mid to late 20s, 5’9” with a medium build and dreadlocks which extended past his shoulder.  He was wearing a black t-shirt, a black beanie style hat and used a dark cloth to cover his face.

Anyone with information on the identities and whereabouts of both suspects is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS (8477).  All callers will remain anonymous and will be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.  Tips may also be made online at www.southwestfloridacrimestoppers.com or by submitting a tip on the P3Tips mobile app.

Note:  Two surveillance stills of the suspects are attached to this release.  There is no video available at this time.
