Car’s owner could be key in solving home burglary
Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers is asking for the public’s help tracking down a vehicle which police believe was involved in a home burglary last month.
According to detectives, a 1988-2000 gold Chevy 3500 truck, with a single rear wheel, was used in the commission of a burglary on February 19 in the Bridgestone Community, just off Treeline Avenue. The truck had distinctive features including a black hood, black topper, black tailgate, black oversized rims, chrome step bars and fender flares. The truck had dent damage on the left rear portion of the truck, near the gas cap.
Anyone with information on the owner or driver of someone owning or having possession of a truck fitting this description is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS (8477). All callers will remain anonymous and will be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.
