Clerks pepper sprayed during early morning armed robbery

Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers is asking for the public’s help identifying two black males who robbed a 7-Eleven convenience store at gunpoint early this morning.

Around 4 a.m., the two suspects entered the store, located at 12931 Bonita Beach Road SE, displayed a firearm and demanded cash from the register.  When one of the clerks was unable to open the register, the suspects physically removed the drawers and pepper sprayed the two men on duty.  After disorienting the employees, the suspects left the store on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.  It is believed they may have headed in a southbound direction.

The suspects are both approximately 5’7”, 175 pounds and are in their mid to late 20s.

Anyone with information on the identities and whereabouts of the suspects is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS (8477).  All callers will remain anonymous and will be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.  Tips may also be made online at www.southwestfloridacrimestoppers.com or by submitting a tip on the P3Tips mobile app.
