Concerned clerk throws robber off his game
Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers is asking for the public’s help identifying an unknown male who attempted to rob a South Lee County Dollar General store on New Year’s Day.
Around 11 a.m. on Monday, January 1, a light skinned, possibly bi-racial male, entered the Dollar General, located at 18911 S. Tamiami Trail. No cash or property was taken.
The suspect is described as 6’0”, 135 pounds, approximately 25 years old, with a short black goatee, wearing blue jeans, a dark hoodie and large aviator sunglasses at the time.
Anyone with information on the identity and whereabouts of the suspect is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS (8477). All callers will remain anonymous and will be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.
