Criminal combo robs Lehigh store at gunpoint

Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers is asking for the public’s help identifying two unidentified men who robbed a Lehigh Acres Dollar General at gunpoint last night.

Just before 11 p.m., two men approached the store, located at 1154 Alabama Avenue.  The suspects forced employees into the store and demanded that the clerk open the safe.  After collecting all the cash, the men pointed guns at the victims and forced them into the bathroom.  After the door was closed, the men fled the area on foot in an unknown direction.

The first suspect is described as a black male, approximately 5’10”, in his late 20s or early 30s, average build, with short black hair and a full beard.  At the time of the robbery, he was wearing a white surgical mask across the bottom of his face and was brandishing a dark colored firearm.  The second suspect is also a black male, roughly 6’2”, with a thin build and believed to be in his 30s.  He wore a bandana over his face, white latex gloves on his hands and was armed with a silver semiautomatic gun.

Anyone with information on the identities and whereabouts of the two suspects is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS (8477).  All callers will remain anonymous and will be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.  Tips may also be made online at www.southwestfloridacrimestoppers.com or by submitting a tip on the P3Tips mobile app.
