Early morning burglaries believed to be connected

Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers is asking for the public’s help identifying two men believed to be responsible for at least a pair of business burglaries early this morning.

The first incident occurred at 3:39 a.m., when deputies responded to an alarm call at Tropical Self Storage, located at 12644 Palm Beach Boulevard.  Upon arrival on scene, officers found that an axe had been used to shatter the front glass door, thus allowing the suspects access to the business.  Although the suspects rummaged through the business, it appears they left empty handed.  Just over 10 minutes later, a second alarm call came in to Sir Pizza, located at 13302 Palm Beach Boulevard, just a short distance away from Tropical Self Storage.  In this incident, two male suspects used an axe to smash through the businesses front glass door.  Once inside, the men immediately went to the restaurant’s safe and began hitting it to pry it open.  After grabbing the contents of the safe, both men retreated through the bottom half of the front door.

Surveillance cameras captured images of the men, who both wore masks and gloves during both break-ins.  They are described as white males, with a slim build, accompanied at both scenes by a white heavyset female, who wore a bandana and a purple long sleeved shirt.  The trio took off in a newer model white Dodge four door sedan.

Anyone with information on the identities of the suspects, and their current whereabouts, is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS (8477).  All callers will remain anonymous and will be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.  Tips may also be made online at www.southwestfloridacrimestoppers.com or by texting a tip to CRIMES (274637) Keyword: REWARD.

Note:  Two surveillance photos of the suspects are attached to this release.  There is no video available at this time.
