**UPDATE #1**

Nearly a month after a Lehigh Acres Family Dollar store was robbed at gunpoint, detectives are still searching for the suspects responsible for the violent crime.

Two armed men robbed the Family Dollar Store, located at 5009 Lee Boulevard, around 10 p.m. on August 27th.  The suspects forced employees to the ground and used plastic zip ties to bind their wrists behind their backs.  The men raided the registers and left with an undisclosed amount of cash and, as of today, they are still at large.

Anyone with information on the identities and whereabouts of the two suspects is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS (8477).  All callers will remain anonymous and will be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.  Tips may also be made online at www.southwestfloridacrimestoppers.com or by submitting a tip on the P3Tips mobile app.

Employees bound during Lehigh armed robbery

Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers is asking for the public’s help identifying two armed suspects who robbed the Family Dollar Store in Lehigh late Sunday night.

Around 10 p.m. on August 27th, two men brandishing pistols entered the Family Dollar Store, located at 5009 Lee Boulevard.  They forced employees to the ground, using large white plastic zip ties to bind their wrists behind their backs.  The men left minutes later with an undisclosed amount of cash.

One suspect is described as a Hispanic male, 5’11”, approximately 25 years of age, who wore a red hooded sweatshirt, clear latex gloves on his hands and a white shirt to mask his face.  The second suspect is a black male with long dreadlocks, approximately 6’2”, 25 years of age, 180 pounds, who also wore clear latex gloves.
