 Detectives have just acquired a surveillance photo of the dark colored car driven by the suspect in Saturday’s sexual battery.  Attached please find a photo of the black Firebird or Trans Am driven by the suspect.  Again, anyone with information on the vehicle or suspect is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS (8477).

ID sought for suspect in weekend sexual battery

Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers is asking for the public’s help putting a name to the face of a man who was involved in a sexual battery / aggravated assault case last weekend.

The attack took place on Saturday, April 8 around noon in a wooded area behind the Race Trac, located at 3010 Pine Island Road in North Fort Myers.  The suspect is described as a white male in his early 20s, with dark hair pulled into a ponytail, who was clean shaven with a neat appearance.  The victim stated the man was armed at the time of the assault and detectives say he should be considered dangerous.  He may possibly be driving an older model black Pontiac Firebird or Trans Am or a white van.

Anyone with information on the possible identity and whereabouts of the suspect is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS (8477).  All callers will remain anonymous and will be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.  Tips may also be made online at www.southwestfloridacrimestoppers.com or by submitting a tip on the P3Tips mobile app.
