Lehigh armed robber makes a dash with cash

Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers is asking for the public’s help identifying and tracking down an unknown male who robbed a Lehigh Acres 7-Eleven store at gunpoint late last night.

Just before midnight on September 22, a white male, wearing a ski mask, entered the convenience store, located at 530 Joel Boulevard, carrying both a BB gun and a rifle.  After firing three BB gun shots into the store, he pointed the rifle at store clerks and demanded money from the register.  After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, he fled the store in a vehicle waiting for him in the parking lot.  The car was last seen headed northbound on Joel Boulevard.

The suspect is described as a white male, between 5’10” and 6’0” with a thin build and blond hair which could be seen coming out of the bottom of his ski mask.  Witnesses described the getaway vehicle as a maroon or dark red two door Honda, possibly an Accord.

Anyone with information on the identity and whereabouts of the gunman is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS (8477).  All callers will remain anonymous and will be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.  Tips may also be made online at www.southwestfloridacrimestoppers.com.

Note:  One still photo of the suspect and two of the vehicle he fled in are attached to this release.  There is no video available at this time.
