On November 6, 2014, the Lee County Sheriff's Office responded to the 140 block Peoria Street in Lehigh Acres in reference to a reported home invasion robbery. Upon arrival, deputies located a male subject suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. The male was transported to the hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries. The male was identified as 36-year-old Antwone Carl Tremaine Green, a black male with a date of birth July 20, 1978. The death was determined to be a homicide. The investigation continues.

#TheSearchContinues for Fort Myers drive-by shooting suspects
On Saturday, November 2, 2019, at approximately 5:12 p.m., the Fort Myers Police Department responded to the 1500 block of Gardenia Avenue, near the intersection of Michigan Avenue in Fort Myers in reference to shots fired. Officers arrived and located 23-year-old Keion Upshaw suffering from gunshot wounds. It was learned that the occupants of a silver 2019 Nissan Kicks drove by and two shooters opened fire. Upshaw was taken to Lee Memorial Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The investigation continues.

On October 21, 2002, the Lee County Sheriff's Office responded to the area of South Street in Fort Myers where a deputy discovered a victim seriously injured. The victim was later identified as Blain Owen Whitmer, a white male with a date of birth of March 27, 1958. Whitmer later died at Lee Memorial Hospital. The death was determined to be a homicide. Whitmer and a friend were seated in their car when an unknown assailant attacked them. The investigation continues .

27 years have passed since David was burned alive in the trunk of his vehicle... and his killer(s) remain free, roaming our streets, living in our neighborhoods. Someone knows something or heard something about this terrible crime and we need to hear from you. We need that one piece to the puzzle to give David and the Comparetto family justice. It has been 27 years that they have been without their son.
Details about the crime:
- Comparetto was murdered in October 1993
- Comparetto was last seen alive leaving his P/T job at Publix in Fort Myers around 8:30 - 9:00 p.m.
- Comparetto's vehicle was found burning shortly after 11 p.m.
- Comparetto was found burned to death in the trunk of his 1985 light blue Ford Tempo
- It's believed the suspects were known to frequent local strip clubs, mainly Mermaids and Bert's where Comparetto hung out

On October 10, 2018, the Fort Myers Police Department responded to the area of Cleveland Avenue and Hanson Street in Fort Myers in reference to a shooting. Torre Fulcher, 41, of Fort Myers, and William Merrill III, 43, of Miami, were sitting in a vehicle in front of Sungold Plaza when a black vehicle pulled in and a gunman opened fire. The men were transported to the hospital where they both succumbed to their injuries. The investigation continues.

On 04/19/2000, the Collier County Sheriff's Office responded to the area of 4750 Collier Boulevard (CR591), Naples in reference to skeletal remains found. A retired doctor was hunting for snakes north on the power line road that runs off the main entrance to Florida Sports Park. The skeletal remains were discovered in a wooded area, approximately 50 feet west of the road. The skeleton was identified through dental records as 70-year-old Charles Cantrell Wright.
