On June 15, 2012, the Fort Myers Police Department responded to the area of Veronica Shoemaker and Colonial Boulevard in Fort Myers in reference to a shooting. The victim was driving a dark colored Ford Taurus and was stopped at the intersection when a white Nissan SUV pulled up behind him. Two black male adults shot multiple times into the victim’s vehicle killing him. The victim was later identified as Deshon Lanell Jenkins, a black male with a date of birth of December 9, 1988.

On October 19, 2006, the Collier County Sheriff's Office deputies were dispatched to the canal at the west end of Lancewood Way. The body of a female was found wrapped in a blanket in the canal. The victim was identified through fingerprints as Elizabeth Carolina Leyba, a.k.a. Angela Maria Cardenas. Her Florida driver license listed an address in Miami, Florida. Detectives determined she moved from there several years ago.

The death was determined to be a homicide. The case remains unsolved.

Upon arrival, deputies located a deceased male. The male was identified as Troy Richardson, a white male with a date of birth of January 13, 1984. Officers located a black male subject, later identified as Pierre Jacques Dervil, DOB 04/12/1979, who had sustained multiple gunshot wounds in the parking lot. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. The death was determined to be a homicide. The investigation continues.

The decedent was later identified as James Earl Green, date of birth 10/19/1970. The death was determined to be a homicide.

#TheSearchContinues for suspects in Collier County quadruple homicide
On Sunday, June 26, 2005, at approximately 3:00 a.m., the Collier County Sheriff's Office received a 911 call from victim Cesar Garcia’s girlfriend. She said she was at a house on Randall Boulevard and there were four dead people inside the home. Cesar’s girlfriend told detectives that she and Cesar’s brother drove over from the Dade County area looking for Cesar. She stated they came to check on him after he didn’t come home on the 25th and he stopped answering phone calls.
Inside the home detectives found Maribel Abril and Rodolfo Delgado shot to death in one section of the house, and Cesar Garcia and Ariel Pino shot to death in another section. Detectives recovered 104 marijuana plants which had recently been harvested; however, the cuttings from the plants were missing. Total value of the plants was $104,000.00, plus $10,000.00 worth of drug-growing equipment.
Detectives believe the homicides took place between Saturday, June 25th 7:30 a.m. and Sunday, June 26th 3:00 a.m.

The Fort Myers Police Department responded to area of Lincoln Boulevard and Ford Street in Fort Myers during the early morning hours of Wednesday, October 18, 2006, in reference to a shooting. The victim, later identified as Glinda Thomas Allen (49), was shot to death while sitting in a parked vehicle. A black male adult shot Allen, striking her in the upper torso. The victim was transported to the hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries. The investigation continues.
