Less than 12 hours after robbing a North Fort Myers convenience store at gunpoint, Lee County detectives have taken a Cape Coral man into custody.
Within the last half hour, Christopher Davies (DOB 12/24/93) has been booked into the Lee County Jail, charged with armed robbery, as well as the possession of cocaine and drug equipment. Davies was identified as the suspect this morning and subsequently located at a residence on Happy Road in North Fort Myers, where he was taken into custody.
Davies is a criminal registrant with numerous prior arrests, dating back to 2008 when he was jailed for felony theft and burglary charges at age 14. As an adult, he’s been incarcerated for assault, disorderly intoxication and loitering and prowling. Additionally, he’s spent roughly a year and a half in state prison for criminal mischief.
Suspect at large after late night robbery
Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers is asking for the public’s help identifying and tracking down a white male who robbed a North Fort Myers convenience store at gunpoint late last night.
Just before midnight on Sunday, June 18, a white male walked into the Circle K, located at 780 Pondella Road, armed with an AR style rifle. The suspect demanded money from the register, and the cashier complied. After getting a bag full of cash, the suspect fled the store on foot southbound on Pondella Road.
The suspect is described as approximately 5’9”, medium build, with blue or light colored eyes, wearing a black long sleeved shirt, brown boots and a black bandana covering his mouth and eyes.
Anyone with information on the identity and whereabouts of the suspect is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS (8477). All callers will remain anonymous and will be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.
