Suspect sought in early morning Lehigh robbery

Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers is asking for the public’s help identifying an unknown suspect who robbed a Lehigh Acres Walgreens at gunpoint early this morning.

Around 1:45 a.m., an unknown black male entered the store, located at 38 Homestead Road, brandishing a gun in his left hand and a backpack in his right hand.  He demanded that the clerk empty all the cash in the register into the backpack, reiterating that “he was serious.”  In fear for his life, the clerk complied, and the suspect fled on foot, possibly in an eastbound direction.

He is described as being in his 20s, between 5’10” and 6’2”, thin build, wearing all black clothing, a black mask and black Nike sneakers with a white swoosh on the side.  He was armed with a black and grey semi-automatic handgun.

Anyone with information on the identity and whereabouts of the suspect is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS (8477).  All callers will remain anonymous and will be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.  Tips may also be made online at www.southwestfloridacrimestoppers.com or by submitting a tip on the P3Tips mobile app.

Note:  Four surveillance stills of the suspect are attached to this release.  There is no video available at this time.
