Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers is asking for the public’s help identifying and tracking down an unknown man who boldly entered a Lehigh home during broad daylight and robbed a woman at gunpoint.

Sketch - Lehigh Home InvasionThe victim walked into her home on 12th Street SW in Lehigh just after 10 a.m. on March 16, after taking her dog out.  When she closed the door behind her, she left it unlocked.  Moments later, she walked into the kitchen and heard her front door open, and saw a black male pointing a black handgun at her, demanding drugs and cash.  In fear for her life, she gave him $80 in cash, at which point the man fled the home on foot.

He is described as approximately 6’0”, wearing dark baggy pants and a dark head wrap, which was not covering his face.  Through witness recollections, a sketch has been compiled of what the suspect looks like.

Anyone with information on the identity and whereabouts of this suspect is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS (8477). All callers will remain anonymous and will be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.  Tips may also be made online at www.southwestfloridacrimestoppers.com or by texting a tip to CRIMES (274637) Keyword: REWARD.

Note:  A composite sketch of the suspect is attached to this release.
