Suspect sought for stealing guns

Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers is asking for the public’s help identifying and tracking down an unknown woman suspected of stealing five guns from a North Fort Myers home last weekend.

The victim stated that he allowed a woman named “Tiffany” to stay with him for a few days, since she was down on her luck and was homeless.  After several days, the victim told “Tiffany” that she needed to leave, which she did.  However shortly thereafter, five guns went missing from both his Jose Gasper Drive home, as well as his vehicle.  Since there were no signs of forced entry, detectives believe the woman only known as “Tiffany” to be the suspected thief.  She may be staying in the Palmona Park area of North Fort Myers.  The guns stolen include a small .22 caliber pistol, silver in color with a black handle; a .38 caliber semi-automatic Taurus, silver in color; a .38 caliber snub nose; a chrome plated .38 caliber semi-automatic Taurus and a .22 caliber long barrel revolver.

Anyone with information on the identity of the female suspect, and her current whereabouts, as well as the whereabouts of the guns, is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS (8477).  All callers will remain anonymous and will be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.  Tips may also be made online at www.southwestfloridacrimestoppers.com or by submitting a tip through the P3Tips mobile app.
