Suspect sought in Sunday night robbery

Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers is asking for the public’s help identifying and tracking down an unknown suspect who robbed a 7-Eleven convenience store last night.

Just before 9:30 p.m. on Sunday, October 2, a tall black male entered the 7-Eleven located at 17451 San Carlos Boulevard, implying that he had a gun inside a paper bag that he was holding.  The suspect demanded cash from the register, then fled on foot southbound on San Carlos Boulevard.  He is described as 6’1”, with a thin build.  Detectives believe he may also be responsible for other recent robberies in the southern and western parts of Lee County.

Anyone with information on the identity and whereabouts of the suspect is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS (8477).  All callers will remain anonymous and will be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.  Tips may also be made online at www.southwestfloridacrimestoppers.com or through the P3 mobile app.
