Suspects check out with hotel guest’s belongings

Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers is asking for the public’s help identifying two men who robbed a hotel guest yesterday afternoon as he was about to enter his room.

On Monday, June 19, the victim checked in to the La Quinta Inn, located at 20091 Summerlin Road, just after 5:30 p.m.  He then proceeded to his car in order to move it closer to his room and retrieve his belongings.  Just as the man was about to open the door to his room, two black males grabbed him and tackled him to the ground, forcibly taking his Gucci bag with all his personal items.  The men quickly fled on foot, however one of the suspects returned a few minutes later and drove off in a black sedan.

Anyone with information on the identity and whereabouts of the two robbers is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS (8477).  All callers will remain anonymous and will be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.  Tips may also be made online at www.southwestfloridacrimestoppers.com or by submitting a tip on the P3Tips mobile app.

Note:  Two photos of the suspects, and one of their vehicle, are attached to this release.  There is no video available at this time.
