Tips needed after string of racist graffiti sprayings

Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers is asking for the public’s help to find out who is responsible for four instances of racist graffiti sprayed on public signage earlier this week in Bonita Springs.

On Monday morning, residents discovered the illegal artwork at Bonita Springs Middle School, Spring Creek Elementary, the City of Bonita Springs dog park and the community pool.  The disturbing messages included paintings of a swastika and the phrase “white power.”  The graffiti was likely done in the overnight hours on Sunday or pre-dawn on Monday morning.  Detectives believe the same person or group of individuals is responsible for all four instances.  As of this point, there are no known witnesses to any of the four acts.

Anyone with information on the person or persons responsible for the racist graffiti is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS (8477).  All callers will remain anonymous and will be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.  Tips may also be made online at www.southwestfloridacrimestoppers.com or by submitting a tip on the P3Tips mobile app.
