Tool thief targets Lee County business
Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers is asking for the public’s help identifying an unknown man who broke into a central Lee County business last Friday morning, burglarizing seven cars and stealing hundreds of dollars in power tools.
An employee of Severn Trent Services, located at 5911 Country Lakes Drive, said he left the business on Thursday, August 18th around 7:30 p.m. Before going home, he locked the chain linked gates around the property. However when he returned the next morning, he found that a hole was cut in the fence and seven of the businesses vehicles were broken into. Power tools were taken from most of the cars.
Video surveillance at the business showed a male, with a heavy build, with a cloth or shirt over his face, making entry to numerous vehicles around 1 a.m. on Friday, August 18th.
Anyone with information on the identity and whereabouts of the suspect is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS (8477). All callers will remain anonymous and will be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.
