Witnesses sought in Lehigh homicide

The Lee County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the assistance of the public regarding an active homicide investigation.

On Thursday, Sept. 14th at approximately 6:00 p.m., deputies responded to the area of Leonard Blvd N. and Leonard Blvd S. in Lehigh Acres, regarding a disturbance.  Upon arrival it was determined that Aden James Wright, white male, DOB 8/31/97, had been fatally wounded.

Several witnesses on scene advised numerous citizens were traveling the roadway when the incident occurred, and continued on, as they may not have realized what had just happened. Detectives would like to speak with witnesses who may have seen individuals operating a beige pickup truck, possibly a Silverado, a white pickup truck hauling a mattress, and an older model, white Chevrolet Tahoe around that time Thursday night.

If you were in the area of Leonard Boulevard North or South between Lee Boulevard and Hawalaska Street on September 14, 2017 just after 6:00 p.m., and witnessed anything unusual prior to the arrival of law enforcement, you’re asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS (8477).  All callers will remain anonymous and will be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.  Tips may also be made online at www.southwestfloridacrimestoppers.com or by submitting a tip on the P3Tips mobile app.
