MISSING PERSONS CASE TURNS TO A MURDER INVESTIGATION
The 43-year-old real estate developer, Clarence Eric Dawson, disappeared the evening of September 9, 1988, after he left his home in south Fort Myers to show a potential investor a lot he owned off Corkscrew Road in Estero, where he planned to build a Christian residential community called Familyland. Two months after Dawson disappeared, hunters found Dawson’s body in a shallow grave covered in concrete. Dawson had been shot in the back of the head. His death was ruled a homicide. The investigation continues.
